So, I said screw it, and got the Borla SType, I've now had the SType on three different trucks.
I guess what I'm saying, is just get a good system to start with, instead of piecing muffler A, and resonator B, hoping you made the right choice. In my case, I spent much more piecing crap together, than that Borla cost. Borla has a crate muffler SI/SO that sounds great, Pro something, if you insist on using what you have, I'm 99% sure it will be quieter than the ATAK you have, and still have Borla quality.
Just my .02, maybe not worth that much.

Reading skills aren't the best today. Looking at their crate type mufflers, [universal] fit, they don't have what you want. Mentioning that "Y" pipe confused me, all I could think of was just downstream of the Cats.
May be, just may be if you called Borla, they could help you out with one of the crate mufflers to use as a resonator. As you see if you look at the universal fit mufflers, the cost isn't that high. Notice I said "call". I've dealt with them with email and actual phone call, and got much further than an email.

The ATAK muffler is at the front, just downstream of the "Y" pipe, so it looks like if you didn't want to have a shop rework the system you have, you'd have to put it downstream, towards the rear, right in front of the rear "Y" pipe. Now you have me saying that!
I'd run that by Borla, if you call them. They may have a better solution. With no feedback from them, that's how I'd do it.
What state are you in where you're worried about a restriction?
