Like companies aren't known to lie? Well if he wants to still lay claim the best way is to find the label on the product itself or packaging that says made in China. Don't quote companies. Quote the actual product showing Made in the Good ol US of A.

I really like that look. Mind posting part numbers so i can copy you?

Also, how hard is it to install that? I very green when it comes to installing anything on a car unless it bolts on.

Any of these mounted on a 3.5 w/ adaptive cruise/etc... plus a front license plate? If so, I'd like to see how that turned out.

I use a company called Plashlights. They are based out of league city which is in the Dallas, Texas area. I had a 30" DR series on my previous truck. Had it for about 2 years. Never had a problem with it, and was absolutely flawless. Sold it to a buddy of mine because I didn't have anything to mount it to with the new truck, and he's using it on his truck now. We have a 40" REVO series on our Polaris ranger that I bought for my father as a gift. Had it for a year now and still works flawlessly. It's a great company and they stand by their products. They are as bright as rigid and some even brighter and yet they are about a 3rd of the price. When my dad was mounting his 40" something happen and it fell in the process and broke the piece on the light that the screw goes into. Called up plashlights the next day. They said send it back so we did and they sent us a brand new replacement for free. Once I figure out how I want to mount lights on my 2015 f150 I'll be getting with them for my next lightbar. If you want a really good light and can't quite afford the rigid ones I strongly recommend checking out plashlights. They also make radius bars and make what they call backlight light bars. Cost a bit more but they shine different colors as well as white. Check out their website: www.plashlights.com, or their Facebook page and see all the things they can do. Only company I buy lights from.

Grommet in firewall. No wires going through. Drivers side. Can see it from engine bay. Cut a small hole in it the push wires through. They will come out by the driver footwell

I bought these 2 40" light bars off of Amazon for my Raptor. They were about $100 a piece. Trust me, I'm very high maintenance and I spend money on stupid things, expensive lights is not one of them. (just search Amazon for 40" LED, you will find a ton, and they are all the same, just branded differently) I drove the Raptor tonight and I was reminded how bright these were when I forgot to turn them off in my neighborhood. lol

I actually have a 20" that I pulled off the Raptor. I have been thinking of putting it on my '15 Platinum. This thread gives me some ideas.

Aries Bull Bar

22.5" Light Bar

You will also need a LED wiring harness. There are several types of switches so you may want to just search on Amazon.

Bull bar took me 30 minutes because the instructions weren't very clear. It had three sets of instructions within 3 pages: 1.) With tow hooks, 2.) Without tow hooks and 3.) Some other setup.

But I ended up just scrapping the instructions altogether and ended up figuring it out. It's pretty easy. Doing it again I could probably knock it out in 10 minutes.

Light bar was a bit longer. 30 minutes to physically mount it because some of the screws were small and I didn't have the right length screwdriver to easily screw some of the screws in so it banged up against the bull bar, and another 30 minutes to run the wires, push it thru the firewall, and zip tie it all together.

Taken from the Wrangler Forum:
I have both the "real D2s" and the fake D2s (Aurora.)

First, Aurora, unlike the rest of the chinese companies isn't a "fake." The produce their own circuit boards, which is something even rigid doesn't do. LEDs, gaskets, housings, etc are all made in China, no matter which lights you buy.

I compared my Rigid D2s to the Aurora lights. They are BOTH driving beam. The rigids have a wider spread than the Auroras but the Auroras are hotter (brighter) towards the center. The new Aurora lights are available in both 3w or 5w LED flavors (they will build per customer specifications)...the ones mentioned in some above posts are 3w flavor. Mine are the 5W flavor. Aurora is half the price of rigid. I own both, so I'm not just some fanboy badmouthing one or the other. Rigid has a patent on the optics, and it shows. The optics on the rigid lights are superior (as evidenced by the more even spread of light) but in my personal opinion, they are not two times better to warrant the price hike.

I have appealed to Rigid to rethink their pricing if they want to keep customers. I like Rigid. They are a great company that does great things. However, they were one of the first companies to market
LED bars LED bars
in the US, and that's great. Just like the first plasma TVs, they cost a lot since they were new and not many companies made them. Now, there are 200 companies making
LED bars LED bars
. Some are crap, some are great, but even the great bars are now half the price. I would pay a little bit more for rigid, but not 100% more. I have taken apart the rigid light and the aurora light, and they are, for lack of a better word, identical in quality.

Just because the are assembled here don't mean the light modules and other parts do not come from China......
