Default Adding amp on 17 Platinum

I've had my truck for 2 years and left it stock for the most part, it has the Sony system with the factory subwoofer. Local shops want $500 just to wire in an amp, I've been searching on here for days reading post after post with conflicting information the older the posts get. I have some experience with the lc2i from my old suburban, but could never get it setup right to sound good. I also want recommendations on what's a good combination amp subwoofer and wiring kit you guys would recommend. I do have a brand new alpine mrv-m500 that I never used, not sure if it would be good for this application. Sorry for the dragged out post, just really nervous about cutting in to the harness on my truck.

You can buy the pac amp pro that plugs into the head unit, it'll supply the RCA's and remote turn on output for an aftermarket amp. Then you just run power and ground as usual.

Really it's that simple? I was reading a post from like 2 years ago about tapping in to the rear speakers, but I first have to disable the fake engine noise because I got the 3.5 EcoBoost.

Yep, pac amp pro is plug and play. Has little box with 6 pre amps to use for front, rears and subwoofer and a remote turn on lead. It's kinda expensive though. But if you don't mind taping into oem harness, you can just tap signal from front door speakers or the oem subwoofer output.

Edit: actually i just googled it and , there are 2 versions, one with 6 channel rca outputs which is about $300 and one with just 2 channel sub output for about $150. Or $0 if you tap into oem harness lol

I'm gonna order the $150 kit, I really don't want to mess with the harness. My only other concern is the engine nosie coming through the speakers, if that's gonna effect the signal this kit is gonna use. My local Ford dealer is playing dumb saying it doesn't exist. I wish I understood what forscan is and how to use it.
