Added a leaf
2018 Roush was squatting pretty good after putting about 600lbs of tools and equipment back into the bed with a Leer 700 also adding weight. I probably underestimated the 600lbs, maybe more. Had a local shop add a leaf to each side 3" x .401 x 60" arched and that brought it back to perfect level like it was empty. Shop estimated that it added back 800 lbs of spring capacity. Added the Helwig swaybar and this thing handles incredibly well with the Fox 2.0 Roush installs. Roush runs 305 x 55 x 20 tires and I already swapped them out for BFG for snow traction since the Mickey Thompsons were not up to snow duty. I had forgotten how softly sprung the rear of these trucks are after running my 2015 for 4 years with extra leafs in it. Re-aim the headlights and I am good to go. The truck was really floating with the nose up stance before. Best 500 bucks yet spent on this truck.
I have a 2016 supercrew 4x4 6.5 foot bed, I got it used, it has a 2.5 inch leveling kit in front. I tow a 6k pound boat quite a bit and want to add a leaf, any suggestions on best brand to use? thanks.
