So, about $100 in parts, plus the switch - not bad.

How hard is the install?

I'm not complete yet. I still need to figure out how I want to drill the sensors into the fender. That's going to be the hard part. The rest was easy.

Pick your center point and mark it with a center-punch so the bit doesn't wander, put painter's tape over the entire area to protect the paint from cracking/flaking, use a good holesaw and go easy. Aluminum should cut like butter. Might want to put some silicone around the edge when you put the sensor in to protect the cut edge from corrosion.

Anybody got any ideas if it could be added to a 302A?

Been following this in the Forscan thread, so Ill tag this one for interest as well.

Edit: On the sensor mounting, I havent seen how the OEM sensors are mounted on a truck with it preinstalled, but that would probably be a help in knowing how to do the add on sensors.

I'd be more tempted to use a knockout hole punch if the size matches up. Would still need to drill a pilot hole, but should provide a cleaner finished hole.

Never used one of those - just watched a youtube video how it works. Pretty slick

Never used one, but have watched them in use. Makes a nice, round hole. Much cleaner than drilling. The challenge is whether or not they come in the correct diameter.

The issue is the bezel has three spots that make it keyed, as well as it's mounted on a body point that is curved. The bezel is curved to match that body curve, thus keeping the sensor perfectly vertical. Now, it seems it's not sensitive on the exact location on the side of the truck, i might be able to get a standard backup sensor bezel and make it work with that in a different spot.

I did try to tape it to the front bumper, directly in front of the front wheel. It wasn't optimal and would make me back up and pull forward several times before saying "Done". Truck was crooked as heck. lol

Pics of the side sensor bezel.
