Added Active Park Assist on 2015 Lariat 502A
Here's my write-up of sorts for adding park assist to a 2015 Lariat 502A with Tech Package. This may not be easy or possible for any other equipment packages or even Trim Levels. YMMV.
I posted briefly about this in the ForScan thread, when i was experimenting with the values needed to change in the various modules. I used the As Built compare tool posted in the first page of that thread and about 40 2015 F150 lariats of differing packages to deduce the perfect bits needed to change. Below shows what I have found to work in my project:
IPC
720-01-01 xxxx xxxx x6xx -Makes the dinging work correctly when you operate the system.
PSCM
730-01-01 xxxx x1xx xxxx -Makes the steering work
PAM -Not sure of what all the bits do, but ultimately they turn the system on and allow the use of the side sensors.
736-01-01 x6xx x4xx xx
736-04-01 x14x xxxx xx
736-05-01 xB79 x1xx xx
SODL
7C4-01-01 xxx2 xxxx -System relies heavily on the BLIS system to detect the parking space.
SODR
7C6-01-01 xxx2 xxxx
APIM
7D0-04-02 xxx8 xx -Shows the operation on the APIM, 8 worked for Sync 3, 9 I believe is for Sync 2.
I put all these values in before i got all the hard parts I needed just to see what sort of DTCs i would get. The only thing i got was an error because I didn't have the side sensors installed.
Now, on to the pics and parts. With my particular equipment group, all the wiriing and harness was in place. The only thing i needed was the side sensors, small harnesses to connect to the main sensor, and the button on the center console. Since I already have lane keeping, I needed the split button that had the APA and lane keeping. The part number I was given from the dealer got me the same button I already have, so I'm still trying to find that. I just used a wire and stuck in the harness and grounded it out to the power port to turn the system on. LOL

I temp mounted the sensors with 3M tape just to make sure it all worked. Tried it about 10 times on each side and it worked like a champ! It goes to show that they don't have to be 100% dead on from the factory to work correctly. My neighbor probably thought I was nuts because I was using his vehicle parked on the street with my wife's explorer to test. I haven't actually drilled anything yet, but once I decide how I'm going to do that, I'll post an update. Right now, everything is disconnected and modules back to stock until I figure it out. I forgot to take a picture of the APIM turned on with the APA activated. From here on out, I'll let the pictures tell the story.

This is great. Please keep us updated. Reading from your least, this sounds like a cheap mod. My question is, would it work on 501A as well ?

Does this require the 360 camera or is it just the sensors?

When you get a chance can you post a pic of it working on the APIM?

Active park assist doesn't come on the 502a with tech package?
