Add-on camera?
Hello all, new to owning a truck, new to the forum.
I just bought a 2016 Screw 3.5 EB for use as a tow vehicle. It's a Lariat with the 500A package plus tow accessories, including Sync3 nav system, power folding tow mirrors, 36 gallon tank and the backup camera. The camera is linked to the backup lights so it works only in reverse
I added a rear-view camera on my travel trailer, purchased from Tadi Brothers. It has a wireless transmitter and receiver. The receiver has a small earphone-type jack output that I plugged into my GPS. The GPS screen showed the camera or directions, depending on how I toggled the control. Being powered by running lights I could use the camera as rear view while driving.
Question: is there any way for me to patch the output from the trailer camera receiver into the nav system screen? I'd rig a power switch for the receiver as I did on previous tow vehicle, a Durango. If there's not an extra input on the Sync3, perhaps I could patch into the existing camera input and use an A/B switch of some kind?
Knowledge shared by someone who's actually done something like this, or looked at the back of the entertainment/nav system, is appreciated.
Thanks

Lockpick will not work on Sync 3. One of the vendors here, Camera-Source has an interface system that will work with Sync 2 or 3. I believe it has 4 inputs.
