I had the updates done awhile ago. I had a Ford Field Service Engineer come to evaluate my truck at the end of September. Ironically the day before the safety recall message came out. He said everything on my truck looked as it should but he was aware of trucks still acting up even with the updates and Ford was aware and working on the issue. I am not sure if he meant the Safety Recall.

I am talking with an attorney presently about how I can document the problem so it is not a he said she said type of thing. Looks like I am going to be investing in a dash cam. Does anyone have one that they would recommend?

Thanks.

Was this a collision warning with the red lights flashing or just the ACC braking?

It was just the ACC braking. I hardly get the collision lights to come on. Anytime the collision lights have come on I have been driving manually and I know I am coming up on a car that is turning pretty quickly.

I installed the blackvue 650 2 channel system mainly to protect myself if the truck did indeed slam on the brakes and cause the person behind me to rear end me (it records both front n back)

Ironically since the install, I've had no false alarms, go figure

Have you gone back and watch any captured video? How does the day and night video turn out?

Thanks.

My work order says the tech reprogrammed CCM and did the horizontal alignment as called out for in 15S29B
Not doubting what you are saying. The impression I got from my SA is that the tech was saying there was no way to adjust the azimuth or horizontal angle of the radar. I'll have to see if there is any way I can get a written copy of the TSB so I can see what it says.

Somewhere maybe in this thread there's a post about the unit not being installed on it's mounting studs correctly and also one about needing a square and some cones to check the aiming. Now this might just be more dealer BS told to the posters I don't know.

A copy of the correct repair sure would be nice to have in hand when visiting dealer.

Yes, the video quality is amazing assuming you use the highest quality setting

Search Youtube for as people have uploaded videos from the 650s, IIRC I saw some where people would show you the difference in quality as you adjusted the setting

I let the dealer know that I'm still having problems. He sent an email to the "Ford tech hotline" to see what they say.

I'm not real eager to spend my time getting it looked at again unless they're confident it'll solve the problem. So, I'm going to wait it out and see just how bad it still is and what Ford says to the dealer.

I didn't have any problems yesterday, but I also didn't pass any big shiny tanker trucks.

question for those of you with ACC - can you disable it but still have "regular" cruise control? or is it adaptive cruise or nothing?

hopefully its just a glitch in the website, but I can't seem to build a 2016 with technology package (360 cam etc) without also being forced to add adaptive cruise, active park assist etc. I would like to skip the ACC due to all the safety issues but I still want the tech package. if I'm forced to get ACC I'm hoping at least i can disable it and still have a normal cruise control

Yes you can just use the old fashion cruise control which you can select. But why would you? The ACC is great!! I use it all the time, I have never had a faulty panic stop for no reason but I have had some where it started stopping me faster than I would of due to traffic ahead. It even save me from hitting a biker that changed his mine crossing the street and came back into my lane.
I feel it's a must have for me and the way I use it..

The active parking also works great as do the 360 cameras. If only the seat back coolers worked as they should, the cup holders were bigger and the driver's door handle didn't hurt my knee this truck would be perfect now!
