Morgan, thanks for taking the lead on doing this!!! Great job!!!! BMan, great write-up on how to do this!!!

Now for my question. Someone had asked earlier if this could be done on a 501a that doesn't have the HUD connector and have it still work. Was this ever determined to be doable thing or is there something else that needs to be done to make it work? I have a 16 Lariat 501a package but it does not have the HUD connector in the dash. Not having the HUD is not a deal breaker, as I don't want to have to pull the dash to replace the wiring harness, but the ACC would be great to have. My g/f has it on her Jeep Cherokee TrailHawk and it is great for highway driving.

Thanks for all your wisdom on this!!!

I dont know if it will work without the HUD, you'll get DTCs

OK, that's what I was wanting to find out. Any idea how hard it is to change the main harness? I'm not sure if I want to undertake the task of tracking it down and getting the right one and installing it. I don't drive this truck as much as my last one ('14 XLT) simply cause I'm riding my Goldwing more and more with the nice weather. Not a big deal if I don't do this so it's cool.

Thanks!!!

Firerunner (I think) swapped his dash, look for his thread. Looks to me to be simple but extremely laborious.

That is correct...It's not a hard conversion, but the ONLY way to change the main harness is to remove the dash entirely. It is mounted to the reinforcement beam all along the dash making removal (for lack of a better term than TF used) extremely laborious

Original post corrected. I also added the collision warning values in. Should have a complete list of values now.

Great job installing, gentlemen. Awesome we have more uptake on this mod. Great value in this, and the additional safety/comfort is a real asset.

I completed this procedure today... thanks for everyone that posted helpful info here!

I actually installed the module in a non-factory spot to account for my aftermarket bumper, and I think that's why calibration took longer than I thought it would.

My process is documented here.

Ok ,I finally got the full write up done. Take a look and see what you think. As always, these mods are done at your own risk and make sure you use all the proper safety gear and procedures for working on a big *** truck.

I tried to credit people for their photos in this thread, but if you don't want them used, let me know.

Looks good, great write up to you and all the guys who contributed. Just, if I may be pendantic, its not just for 502s, it works on 302s as well, so maybe rename it to just 2015 F150s?

Any case, great work to all, great mod and great bang for the buck
