Default Active park assist issues

I've had two issues where Active park assist didn't quite work right--- One time it started to drive the rear wheels up over the curb and tonight I'm pretty sure it was about to swerve my front end into the hitch-mounted bike rack on the van in front of me. Anyone else have any issues with park assist and curbs or accessories on nearby vehicles? Can it be calibrated?

For what it's worth I've got a 2015 Platinum FX4 with 6.5' bed and tech package. My car was delivered to the dealer with a dead Sync APIM that was replaced before I took delivery.

I have yet to try it but I would be careful of things like bike racks sticking out the back.

there was a blurb in the owners manual about the very issues you encountered, it mentions objects that may be undetectable...

I haven't included it in any of the builds I've sent to my dealer....I just can't see ever trusting something like that....too many variables involved in parking a car like that IMHO.

If you're getting adaptive cruise control, you should get the park assist... it actually gives you a discount that's more than the park assist cost by having both. Why they don't just include them together, I'm not entirely sure.

It doesn't seem to work that way on the Canadian site. I do have adaptive cruise added on (as well as technology package). Parking Assist is listed as another $550 option. When I add it, it simply adds $550 on, no discount, etc.

Because Ford doesn't like Canadians.

Same thing happened to me. It starts to throw my wheels over the curb. However, when I get close to the curb I just shift it to drive and then the wheel will turn the opposite way. You really dont need to keep on going in reverse until it tells you to shift into drive.
