Hi, I purchased a used ACM off of ebay that has HD radio. the current one in my 2015 f150 has everything but hd radio. the doner is froma 2014 ford explorer and has everything including hd radio.Taking a wild guess but all I should have to do is install the new one in the vehicle and load my original as built into it and change the value for hd radio correct? I am also going to be upgrading to sync 3 at the same time so i know i will have to change some values in the apim. is there anything special i have to do other than that?

 

Chances are you will have trouble with any radio before 2015. Someone else tried that and I'm sure he will chime in when he sees this.

 

Correct. Update to sync 3 and he will need a newer ACM. I used one from a 2016 Explorer and I works great on my 2016 XLT f150.

so my truck is a lariat, and from what that thread is saying is that lariats should have hd radio. however mine does not.
