Acceleration noise
Hey all, Have a 2015 Lariat F150 4x4 with a 5.0. During hard acceleration I have an annoying winding noise. For Example, when I come up to a vehicle and let off the gas and accelerate hard to switch lanes it makes that noise. It is not all the time. Any ideas? Thank you
The 5.0s make a whistle similar to a turbo during moderate acceleration at around 1700-2200 rpm or their about,
but that doesn't sound like what you are describing.
Most dislike the whistle, but love the intake noise at higher rpms.
Does your truck have an aftermarket cold air intake ?
My brother has a Tahoe with a CAI that a previous owner installed and, in my opinion, it made
the intake sound a little obnoxious.( although the people who install the CAIs seem to like the extra noise ).
but that doesn't sound like what you are describing.

YESSS IM NOT ALONE!!! Mine does it from 3500rpm-4500rpm
