ACC Front Camera Malfunction problems after Level Kit
Okay, so back in July I put a 2 inch level kit in the front and 285/65/r20 ko2s on my truck. Ever since then my cruise control, lane assist, and all of those features have been completely disabled.
When I start the Truck it says "Front Camera Malfunction: Service Required" on it.
since July its spent maybe a total of 7-8 days at the dealership and they cant figure it out. I recently took it to my local safelite shop and they couldn't either.
I've asked both to recalibrate and the dealership didn't, safelite tried, but said it wasn't successful. Safelite said it was due to the increased height in the front.
Has anyone had similar instances? Or can anyone shed some light on this situation? Here is a picture of the truck for reference
I know many will say there's no need to perform any calibrations to any of the vehicle systems due to a leveling kit. However anytime the attitude of the vehicle has been altered due to suspension or tire size changes, the IPMA and ACC systems should both be recalibrated for optimal performance.

I bought my truck with wheels/tires and leveling kit already installed by previous owner who was the sales manager at the dealership. It had the same error when I test drove it and I asked him about it. He just shrugged his shoulders since it went away after each start. They fixed it before pick up though. I personally had no clue what it might be until reading this.
I will ask them if they looked at the recal on the IPMA. Is it a complete adjustment of the angle of the front camera? Or just a recalibration?
thanks,

what year was your truck? Did you have problems with the cruise control and other sensors not working too?
interesting how they got it working though.

2019 XLT so only has collision avoidance. When I asked about it I told them I didn't even think it had a camera as all my research had been related to powertrain and towing rather than safety features. Not at home but had wife text me a copy of the service records they gave me at time of sale and there's an entry that says: "PRE COLLISION ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE MESSAGE IS ON....USING IDS RE ALIGN FRONT CAMERA".

I wonder how much a level kit differs from hooking up a trailer. When my trailer is connected, the rear of the truck has settled 2 - 2-1/2".
The only thing I've noticed is that ACC will lose "sight" of the car in front of me when going over a hill or overpass, even though the car is clearly visible. I figured if I'm going up and over an overpass the radar must be pointing too high to see the vehicle in front of me, so my truck starts to speed up (going up hill) thinking that the lane ahead of me is all clear. Even if a tall semi is in front of me, it still seems to lose sight of it on an overpass situation.
