Default AC recirculate issue

Today I noticed that my AC recirculate wasn't working. Even though the button was pressed, there was no difference whether or not the button was pressed. When I pushed the climate control power button, I would hear recirculate kick on for a brief second then turn off. I would then turn the system back on and not recirculate. Last summer it would work intermittently and I would have to turn the AC off and on and the recirculate would work. Has anyone had this issue before. My truck is a 2015 Lariat.

Mine just started doing the same thing. 2016 XLT. The recirculate light is on but working intermittently. When it works the a/c blows really cold like it should and you can hear it actuate. When it is not working you cannot hear anything actuating and the a/c blows cool not cold.

Default a/c recirc actuator 2015-present

I found my a/c not cooling in the south Texas heat. The outlet temp is anywhere from 41 to 60 degree on max cool. The dealership found the recirc actuator is malfunctioning and allowing fresh air in when it should not be. They want 5 hrs labor plus the part. $1095. I found a replacement part on rockauto for $15 shipped but I have not found a tread on the replacement procedure. Help please. My truck is a 2015 F150 Platinum 4x4.

I am glad you are getting some responses, maybe your thread will help me understand if I have an issue. I started a similar question a few days ago and got none.

I have the same problem. Looking for a procedure for the replacement. The part is cheap but the stealership wants almost $1100 to replace the actuator. Anyone have experience with the replacement? I would loved to do this myself but do not know where to start.
