Default AC improved?

I am in the market for a 15. I recently sold a 13 and the one thing that I didn't like about the truck was the AC. I live in Texas and it was just miserable on hot summer days. (no issues on wife's Honda)

I know it is not the best time in the year to evaluate. But, how does the AC seem. Did they make any big changes to the system?

Thanks everyone!

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling that Roadpilot will respond to this query.

I guess I am crazy.

But my understanding is that Ford outsourced the unit and the AC for the 2015s is much improved.

Well if the seat warmers are any indication, in about 30 seconds they will melt your behind so everything climate wise (including normal heat) seems better in Michigan at the moment so not ready to test the AC yet...lol.

I don't know about the AC, but I do know that the heat isn't as good as any of my other trucks. But I will say this is my first Ford so I can't compare to previous models.

It seems like it takes an eternity (30 seconds or more) when you switch the mode. When your in defrost selection and you switch it over to vent selection or to the foot selection. Is this normal? It's like the system shuts off, then 30 seconds later it comes on in the setting you just selected. Seems weird to me.
