SUMMARY The Ford navigation system provides essential features that extend well beyond basic directions. These include fast routes, eco-friendly routes, traffic updates, information about nearby parking garages and gas stations, speed limit postings, lane guidance, and more. To address the everchanging road network, a new map update has been released for the SYNC® 2 system for Ford & Lincoln vehicles, and is available for purchase via the FESG (Ford Electronic Service Group) Navigation Map website (if being bought and installed at dealership) or a customer can purchase directly by going to ford.navigation.com. Customers will be made aware of this update via direct mail and email. The communication will advise customers to purchase their update by going to the Navigation Map website, calling the Navigation provider, or visiting their Dealer. Customer orders placed during the campaign will receive free shipping. Each update includes new and modified roads, addresses, and signage. It also includes updated listings for restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and other important points of interest. Dealers can order the SD Cards via the 1878 site. ELIGIBLE VEHICLES All 2011-2016MY Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC® 2 and navigation are eligible.
