I was sure that question would be hard to have answers. It is like the axel thickness is it really 1/4 in. instead of 3/16 in (regular) on the hdpp to support more weight ? I'Ve search on some Fords specs but could not find anything. Thank you all.

Now Im confused. My 2014 did not have a tow package, let alone a max tow package and had a 7100# GVWR rating, BUT it had a 4050 GAWR for the 9.75 with 3.15 gears. So where does the extra 600# come from?
