Default 87 0r 93 Octane

Since allot of you guys will be picking your trucks up soon I was wondering if any of you were thinking about initially about starting off fresh with the dealer putting in 93 Octane instead of 87.
I am interested in max h.p. and Torque so that is why I am posing the question.

Im curious how you are getting them to do it. They are not going to just put premium gas in. And if you talked them into it, is it really premium gas?

93 at a dealership? Is it also a lincoln dealer? Hard to find 93 oct around here- mostly 91-92 but from my understanding anything above the 87 should be able to be utilized since the computer adjusts itself and can give you a bit of a boost (its not like these engines knock because of octane anymore).

Well I look at it this way, I signed the agreement to buy the truck on August 20, 2014. The fuel charge was included in the agreement when regular 87 Octane gas was about $3.50 a gallon. Premium now is about $2.50 in the New Orleans area so even though I am requesting Premium Gas the price differential is a $1.00 less.
Secondly the Fleet Manager at the dealership is a nice guy and is a customer oriented guy so I am sure it will be no big deal.
I also studied the Owners Manual and Ford specifically says on Page 169
"To provide improved performance we recommend Premium Fuel for severe duty usage, such as trailer tow."

I like to drive fast so the Severe Usage might apply to me.......

Hahaha! Look MR. DEALER GUY! I like to Drive Fast, so I clearly fall into the severe usage qualifications, now fill it up with premium and dont talk back!

Something like that?
