Default 8" LCD touch screen not getting power

My touch screen has displayed black on me twice after turning on the ignition. Once when I had 1500 miles and today with 3000 miles. It's like it isn't getting any power. At 1500 miles, I had to turn my ignition off/on twice at 1 minute intervals and screen came back on. Today at 3000 miles, I did the same procedure but only had to do it once. Am I having an intermittent power connection issue? Anybody else experience this?

Well, you don't have to worry about if for another 1500 miles. All kidding aside. Does it happen when you hit a bump or anything? Is it only at startup? Possible loose connection to the APIM?

Both times standing still. Cold engine starts. No issue ever when driving.

We just purchased a 2016 XLT and the same thing happen. Only 200 miles. Is this something I should be worried about?

Thanks!

Now it doesn't display at all even after two ignition off/on. I'm going to the fuse box and see if the fuse just needs a reseat. If that fails. onward to the dealership.

Jut had this same issue fixed on my 2016. Was a bad module either in the unit or behind it. Part # GL3Z*19H405*D CONTROL ASSEMBLY - AUDIO/VISUAL UNIT.

Thanks Bigdaddy! I'll run that by the dealer.
