8 bolt wheels

Someone told me that in order for an F150 to have the Max Tow option with a 3000+# payload 8 bolt wheels are required.
Never heard of this. Any thoughts?

Nope, same bolt pattern as all other current f150s.

I have 6 bolts on my HDPP 2016 and it is 2603 pounds of payload.

20" wheels are not required for Max-tow. 20" wheels are required to eek out the last bit of maximum tow capacity. You can still get max tow with 17's or 18's.
