Default The $6900.00CDN Diesel Option

The 3.0 diesel is on the Ford Canada build and price site. $6900 more than the same truck with a 3.5EcoBoost. No thanks!

More expensive to own and operate, less HP and Torque.......what's not to like? I know I know, MPG's while towing yada yada.

Seems to me they're (Ford) pricing themselves out of the option on purpose.

Literally have been checking daily the USA built site. Hopefully they get it on there soon. Til then, Canada it is.

& why tf is it on Canada's first? what's that all aboot.

EDIT: No 3.0 for me. Wont allow supercab long-bed which, if I were ordering, is exactly what Id get.

Might as well buy a Super Duty at that point. Why did they even waste their time and money on this.

I bet they sell them as fast as they can build them.

Most people don't crunch the numbers. They just see diesel and think towing powerhouse that will last 200k with nothing but oil changes and get great fuel economy.

Diesel engines in pickups are still selling on the reputation that the pre emissions 7.3 powerstroke and 5.9 Cummins built.... Those days are long gone.

Many will have to learn the hard way that the 3.5 ecoboost is better than the 3.0 powerstroke at literally every single thing possible other than fuel economy.... sigh...

Look at the EcoDiesel... people buy those turds left and right. At least the Ford version should perform reasonably well, as opposed to the 9-second 0-60 and nearly 17 second quarter mile of the EcoDiesel.

I know plenty of people who are fired up about buying one as soon as they can. Many are driving PSD Super Duties right now and want to downsize.

.

True, but not sure about the US, but here in Canada last fall they were offering the ECoDiesel as a FREE upgrade on all trucks.
