6 weeks not that long? You mean 6 months?
Were will it sit inside or out in the elements?

6 weeks... inside a garage... nothing really. Maybe trickle charge the battery, but even that is not really needed.
Outside.. depending on expected weather, nothing as well except maybe cover it.

Make sure the tires are aired up to proper air temp.
Lock the doors.

I just did that. Only issue was a heavy layer of dust on vehicle. I also slide an 8ft led light tube on timer under the truck since its in a barn with known rodent activity. Rodents are active at night and avoid light.

Or else the light will show them how to get in better.
Barn needs a few cats and an owl.
Fill the truck with snakes?

We got lots of hungry feral cats, some owls, but few snakes that I see. The cats do good work and often leave me presents. Found evidence of nest building in engine bay earlier this yr, but that may have been from my trip to UT.

Damn, If they are all in the barn I would park outside.
Time to call the rodent busters.

Rat poison pellets....

this is a few weeks in my shed with a rat visiting... the pellets keep the rats busy moving them to my air filter box... when they finished, they went dead somewhere.

I

I have now added a grid to cover the air entry to the box and a plug to the exhaust so it can stay a couple months hopefully without been touch... last time they used my electrical wire as decoration for their love nest...

I would hook up a battery tender if it's not a big hassle to do that. Not that your battery will be dead in that short amount of time, but you will have a nice strong start when you get back, and they prolong the life of your battery if it's not being used.
When you get back check your tire pressure. If it gets cold then warms up or vice-versa the temp swings could affect the pressure.
