Default 6 ply Toyo AT2 vs. 10 ply BFG KO2

I know the tire subject has been beat to death but here is another one. I tow with my 2016 XLT SCREW and found the stock tires too mushy. I am going to replace them and on my previous truck I went through 3 sets of 6 Ply LT Toyo AT's so I have quite a bit of experience with them. They were always good tires but on snow and ice I think it may be better to go with a tire with the snowflake. My tires are 275/65R18 so the AT2's can be purchased 6 ply but the KO2's are only available in 10 ply. Does anyone know what the difference in ride quality or any other negative differences there would be?

I switched my stock 275/65/18's for KO2's in 275/75/18. A lot of people on the forum have done the same. I have no regrets. Looks a million times better, quiet, handles good. Can't go wrong.

Many people have KO2s. I have 275/70/18 which are E rated. I honesty don't think my ride quality has changed much from the stock 275/65 Goodyear fortitudes. Smooth and quiet. And for towing the KO2s definitely feel firmer (more noticeable when cornering).
