Default 5100 Install – Level of Difficulty and Experiences?

Billstein 5100 Install – Level of Difficulty and Experiences?

I’m trying to decide between doing the install myself versus going to a shop, and so I’m curious to hear the level of difficulty from someone who’s DIY’d it.

I have installed these same adjustable shocks on two different 2WD Tundras, and I’ve done a 2.5” lift with front blocks and AAL on my 4WD F250. I have a good mechanical base and level of comfort, but have not done a coilover-type operation on a 4WD IFS before.

I have searched a good bit and have not found a ton of videos or informational write-ups on this specific operation on this specific generation of F150. There’s plenty on older F150s, but I haven’t seen much on the current.

Is anyone able to direct me to something that would better inform me of the process so I can make the decision? Or even more valuable would be to hear from someone who’s done this.

Bottom line is that I’m trying to decide if I can do it myself (with the help of two buddies, one of which will be useless drunk) or should I just let a shop deal with it.

Thanks in advance.
