5.0L 3.73 2nd Gear Sport Mode Observation
#11
My worthless 2 cents: The transmission behaves more like a "track mode" the way I would have shifted on a track holding gears through the turns in my 6-spd porsche and really doesn't belong in this truck. Holding a gear for an eternal 6 seconds at 5500 RPM should not be considered normal. Ideally sport mode would only make the throttle position more progressive and allow higher RPM's "when accelerating only". I don't feel "tow mode" impacts the throttle position curve and so it is not a replacement for a proper "sport mode".

^ no, it's one or the other. Sport is like the more aggressive version of our T/H mode on the 14 and before.

As promised to the OP, I tried to replicate this phenomenon, but was unsuccessful.
However I'm only a bit over 1000 miles and I'm still getting acclimated to the whole tranny sport mode and advance trac sport mode functionalities, so my testing could be skewed.

1500 Mile update...
Model info: 2015 XLT 5.0L 302a FX4 3.73s
Loving the truck so far... Have observed something in "Sport Mode" with Advancetrack "Off" and wanted to see if anyone else had the same phenomenon occurring... I will try to explain it the best I can...
What is happening: 2nd gear is "holding" way too long for "normal driving"...
What's your take?
