Default Mbrp

I have the side exit before the rear tire (Lightning style) Mbrp black coated kit and love the looks and sound.

I have a Roush cat back, I like the sound of it. Retail is a little expensive, I got mine on a Craigslist find

I wish I would have gone with something like that, I love the Roush but my tires just spit dirt on it all day.

That sounds great!
Thanks! It's got a deep tone to it, and is definitely louder, but nowhere close to obnoxious. It also has absolutely no drone to it. One of the other guys on the forum did it with I believe a 16" or 18" thrush, but I wanted it louder so I went with the 12". I'm a big glass pack fan, ran true dual straits with this same muffler on my '07.

BertaPower

Always in the market for some exhaust notes!
I have a '16, and swapped out the rearmost oval muffler for a Series 70 Big Block 3-Chamber Flowmaster 3" in/out... the rest of the system is stock... and when I looked through the factory muffler that was removed, I saw that it's a straight-through design with a perforated core. The straight-through is to one side of the oval, with a port halfway along that dead ends into the other half.

Trouble is, it's 2.5" tubing from the engine head pipes' Y-collector (which has a 3" exit) to the rear axle, where it goes to 3" again... so I think I'm going to find a 16" long, 3" in/out stainless perf-core resonator (Walker/Tenneco used to sell one) and 3" diameter tubing to replace the 2.5" tubing after the Y-collector.

I like the idle and part-throttle sound of my existing setup, but at WOT it doesn't sound good due to the 2.5" restriction. At WOT here's the *FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT* of a restricted 385HP that's as loud as the 8 cylinder note I should be hearing exclusively...

Point being everybody has their own preferences. What I like, the next guy may think stinks. One thing I strongly urge is that you go stainless steel. Longevity will be better by a long shot.

agree 100% but what your describing im liking , i know flowmasters can be very obnoxious on some vehicles thpse days are behind me or are left for my hot rod not my dd . Thanks TUNNELT

Magnaflow catback. Great "growl" on start up. Doesn't have a drone, but a heart growl when I stomp on it. Makes the 5.0 that much better to listen to, especially when I'm passing another car, but not obnoxiously.
