Default 5.0 engine vibration

Posting for a friend .... 2015 f150 has a very bad vibration in the motor on cold morning starts!! Took the pickup to the dealer and its throwing codes that there's a misfire not only on one cylinder but all cylinders and there response was to keep driving it because they ( dealer ) and ford Canada techs were aware of the issues occurring with several other 5.0L 's but don't have a fix!! In my opinion this is not nearly good enough for a $50000+ truck ... Any ideas what may be the issues with this engine?

Find a competent dealer service department would be my advice.

Is the bad vibration when the truck is idle, warming up? I had that problem last winter with my '13 5.0, it was routinely minus 20. It had to do with fuel icing. Rpms dropped and truck vibrated. I didn't take it in but there was clearly cylinder misfiring. Adding higher octane fuel or fuel line antifreeze fixed the problem. If they are experiencing the same issue, forgoing a warm up and just driving off also prevented the engine vibration. I suspect actually using the block heater may help. I havnt had this problem on my '16 5.0 but this winter was much warmer in the GTA

What Hctr154 said! Sheesh...

I would start with a data re-flash on the ECU.

When it was took to the dealer they did the computer updates and the issues are still the same, called the dealer again yesterday and the same response" keep using pickup cause Ford Canada engineers don't have a fix" !!

The misfire happens at first startup in the mornings... When the tech plugged the computer in it was showing misfires on not 1 but All cylinders

They'll end up replacing the head if they can't figure it out. A local dealership had 5 come in within 2-3 weeks (varying years & mileage 5.0s).
