Default 4x4 Selector, Back Light?

My 4x4 Selector is not completely back lit when the headlights are on. The 2H, 4H and 4L light up, but the indicator line on the **** and transfer case disengage symbols are not lit up. Is this normal? Makes it kind of hard to see what I am selecting in the early morning or at night.

This is normal. It is the same on my truck. The dash indicates which 'mode' you are in unless you are in 2wd then it only indicates it for a second and then goes out.

Okay thanks. Thought it was odd since the trailering **** was lit up.

Last night I was cleaning out the truck, let my two year old play around in the front seat while I did. This morning she had things all out of normal. Truck was in 4L and it took me a few seconds to figure out what was going on.
