I had the peddle vibration too. Almost Disappeared at about 5k miles.

Just took mine to the dealer and took the salesman with me. Drove an identical 2016 KR afterwards optioned line by line the same on the same loop. In 4A there was no additional noise, engine load, etc...truck is going in Monday for service to take a look.

I haven't taken mine out of 4A in thousands of miles. I noticed at first a little more driveline noise, but it's either gone away or I no longer notice it. I too thought it felt like it was working a little harder to run, but my MPG's are identical.

Check your trucks if you notice any noises in 4A! See my thread here, https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2016-...lready-323332/

The "hum" was not extremely noticeable as the cab is so quiet now, but once they looked at the diff they saw the damage.

I was curious if anything would be damaged if the 4A engaged at high speeds?

I think Ron Popeil got it right, "set it, and forget it!"

Question however. Is this safe for year round? Summer months? Or at that time would you drop it down to 4x2?

Thanks gang!

I love this truck! My picture/edit was featured by Ford on FB

4A automatically engages when it needs to. It is smart enough to know if it can do that. So, if Ford's engineers decided to not let it engage if you were driving 100mph, it won't engage.

Set it, and forget it.

I do not have 4A. Wouldn't the transfer case have to be engaged in 4A in order for the system to work as designed? If so, then there is an extra load as it will be engaged (at the transfer case not necessarily the front wheels). The transfer case has parts that will wear in like other mechanical parts. You might be concerned if it was very loud, sounded like binding, or made a high pitch noise. Otherwise, I suspect it will go away as the transfer case wears in.
