I know you didn’t ask this but the elock works great if you have to reverse on a slippery spot.

The only time I've used to e-locker is when I use the truck to compact the dirt on the jump faces on my MX track after I groom them with the skid steer. I'm not sure I even need it for that.

I used E-locker while off road several times. Once when going up a incline made up of fairly level hard rock, with thin dust on top of the rock, and all the back end did was sit-and-spin. I had to put it in 4WD to get to the top.

The traction control will mimic a limited slip differential. If the power wheel spins, it'll apply the brakes to that wheel which transfers torque over to the other wheel allowing it to start spinning as well. I have a 4x4, open diff and have two rooster tails every time I'm off road and floor it. Two black marks on the street as well. You'll be fine on a boat ramp.

I have a ‘17 F150 2.7 with factory tow package, 4x4 and electronic locker. My boat is about 5,400 pounds and I’ve never had to use the 4x4 or e-locker to haul out at any ramps. The first 13 years of owning the boat, I towed it with a 2wd Tundra. Never had a problem at any ramps.

I have towed my boat with an open diff 4wd for over 20 years. The main ramp I use is steep concrete. 4wd is usually needed to get the boat out. I would imagine a locker alone may do it.

My 2011 and 2014 would sometimes mimic a limited slip when driving straight ahead. But while making a turn I got the one wheel peel. It always happened while turning right at the same intersection. The old Time Warner building was so close to the road you had to get your nose right out in the lane to see if there was a car coming from the left. Occasionally if a car was coming and you had to hurry the one wheel peel would kick in, then the traction control would kick in and the truck would barely move. I ended up putting a Truetrac limited slip in those trucks. After that they wouldn't even spin while hurrying to make that right hand turn.
