I ran 315s for 3 days without a level. Tires rubbed on the front crash bars at 1.5-2 turns of the steering wheel. If you remove the front bars, 35s will clear stock.

Yes RevX. I see your tire size in your reply profile. Do you have any rubbing? Have you leveled the front end? If so what product did you use?

no level. You were asking about trucks with no level so I thought I'd show you an example. Also, you asked about Duratracs and that's what I have. There is no rubbing at all. My 11 gave a small rub at full lock in reverse sometimes. This one never does. However, if you change teh offset that may make a difference.

17 x 8.5 Method Mesh in black are on the way wrapped in some Duratrac 285/70/17s. Going to pick up some wheel well liners and will post photos once it is all installed.

Thanks for all the help fellas.

17 inch Method Racing Mesh wheels with Goodyear Duratracs at 285/70 r17. No lift, no level....totally stock. Added the rear wheel well liners at the same time (no before/after on those).

Before:

After:

There is a slight rub when turning the wheel fully, but it isn't enough to make me worried. I'll play with it to see if I can reduce the rub.

Here are some gap shots:

WHOA!!!..... Wait a minute!
You mean you went from 18" rims to 17" rims? I commend you.
How does it ride? Did you have any brake caliper clearance issues?
As an avid off-roader the route you took on your rim size makes more sense to me.
Looks great also.

Ha! It sounds like we come from the same background. If 15s would have worked I would have done that. More rubber!

Nope, no issues with the wheels. Just a little rubbing from the change in tire width and blockier tread....I'm guessing.

Have you been able to reduce the rub at all? I'm looking at the same tire size.
