Default 3" leveling spacers

Is it ok to install 3" leveling spacers on my 2017 f150 4x4 Supercrew? I keep hearing mixed answers of the stress it puts on other components.

are you asking for permission??? installing a $50 puck or block is the hack way to level. But hey it will look cool so pretty counts for very little.

3” spacers are too much and will cause failures on the balljoints along with the half shaft angle becoming too extreme.

max spacer recommended is 2.5 (2-1/2”) before going with a whole system

with a 2.5 … its close to level… but there is still a very tiny noticeable rake to the front.

3" is too much. Your ucas will hit your coils as they will with a 2.5. Go with bilstein 5100s of the like.

Yes they are out there but it’s just not a good idea on this style of suspension setup. Besides the extreme angles and increased wear, you’re left with no suspension travel and a Carolina squat.

3” is too much i agree there

however ….

I have 2.5 RC Spacers… i have yet to “hit” the coils.

raising the vehicle with a jack and unloading the front suspension with the tires completely off the ground… yes… the upper control arms do touch… but nothing makes contact with anything while the suspension is under load.

I also have 2” wheel spacers, 20” wheels as opposed to the 18” it came with, and 305 tires not the 275 it originally came with. I have yet to experience any binding, banging, and have not noticed any spots of improper movement or contact

I've been in many off-road situations at full droop where they would've hit. Pavement princess wont have issues at 2.5".

Oh mine is just that ….. pavement princess… with a few curve hoppings, and recently cut grass ripper

If the OP is intending to go truely off-road … I’d recommend as you do…. Stay away from the leveling kits.

If it’s a pavement princess like mine … 2.5” is about as high as would be recommended.
