Default 3 inch level kit

Hello everyone,
I currently have 2017 f150 fx4 with the Bilstein 5100 with 2.25 max height with stock swingarm running 35's. The trucks rides to stiff should I place the shock to no level add 3 inch spacer with freedom offroad upper control arm and 3 inch block in the rear? Would 3inch bind the suspension ?
.

Yes, you could do that. I'd get rid of the Bilsteins, and stick some coilovers in there. HaloLift has them, and they lifted my 2020 5.0 3". I have OEM UCA's, and no troubles at all.. They've been on there right about 20K miles.

I had a 2017 myself, and my first pair of Bilsteins on it set at the next to lowest groove. I then needed to get the front up a little higher. I didn't have time to wait on coilovers, so I took a 1.5" spacer I had sitting on my workbench, and stuck them in, never had a problem, and handling and ride never changed. I ran it like that for a couple thousand miles until I stuck some other coilovers on.
Rancho has what they call Quicklift or something like that, coilovers that are entry level, I believe those are less than1K.
IMO. coilovers are the way to go, less labor installing, safer than busting coils apart, and you get new springs.

Let’s not forget it really depends on how you use the truck. Pavement princess, sure, you probably won’t have many issues.

But off road, anything that’s giving the suspension a workout, will likely wear parts out much faster because you lose almost all the travel the factory suspension includes.

Your ride is from the Bilsteins.

i think the Fox 2.0s are still on sale from Labor Day and should be shy of $1k.
