Default 3.5 engine shroud

Folks, I'm looking at installing a catch can on my 2018 eco. It looks like I will need to remove the engine shroud, and keep it removed, to run the hoses. Is keeping the shroud off while operating any issue? It has some type of insulation or sound deadening fiber attached to the underside. Otherwise, it looks like only a simple plastic shield or dust cover. Don't know that I'll leave it off forever, but I would like to see what the can stops thru at least the mileage of one oil change. Any advice or facts appreciated. Thanks.

Ive had mine removed for about a year now, no issues. Its basically for sound deadening from the high pressure fuel pump, its cam driven. The "noise" with it on/off, to me, has been unnoticeable. If anything ... it no longer blocks any heat dissipation.
