Default 3.5 EB Power

How does Ford get 25 more HP and 10 more foot pounds of torque out of the Expedition Platinum? It’s rated at 400hp and 480 ft/lbs. Is this something that can be readily done to an F150 3.5 EB without getting into the internals of the engine?

The Lincoln Navigator version has 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft.
That's the one I'd want to duplicate.

According to the spec sheets the Lincoln Navigator utilizes the same engine as the Raptor.

There are a few small things that can be done to most any engine to increase power but when you're talking about "twin turbos", fairly easy to turn up the juice tuned properly.

It says in the brochure several times that those numbers are achieved with 93 octane fuel. More than likely the bump is only due to the higher octane rating as these engines will adjust the timing automatically. Recommended fuel in the Expedition manual are 87 octane for reference.

Haven't see the new design, but previous generations of the WRX placed the intercooler in the engine bay on top of the engine, consequently it heat soaked pretty easily. The F150 intercooler sitting up front and down low gets plenty of air flow so I doubt spraying water on it would help much if at all.

I have seen setups where people re-purposed the windshield washer bottle and nozzles to spray water onto WRX intercoolers, pretty cool hack.
