2nd Intelligent key not responding.
Can seem to find any info on this issue I’m having. I recently removed the batteries from my 2nd of 2 intelligent fobs as the batteries were needing replacement. The fob sat without batteries for a couple weeks until I finally got around to buying new ones. Now with new batteries in, the fob doesn’t work at all but still works in the cup holder backup slot. Do I have to get the dealer to reprogram!!?? Thanks in advance.

You have probably double checked this, but is the new battery in correctly? Have you tried another battery in the fob? Just easy places to start.
They haven't forgotten their programming, as they still start the truck in the slot. Sounds like there is still a battery issue.

has left the building
New batteries are dead
Batteries are installed incorrectly
Wrong batteries are installed
Double check or quadruple check your work.

I have checked and triple checked all those possibilities and swapped batteries between the two fobs, still the second fob doesn’t work. I did clean the battery terminals the first time I opened it up and removed most of the grease that was in there. I’m beginning to think that might have something to do with it. The manual does say something about not removing the grease. I might get some dielectric grease and see if that changes anything.
