Default 2nd Battery Replacement

My original battery went out in 50 months. I replaced it with an Interstate flooded cell battery from Costco. After 60 months, all I got was a click yesterday morning when I tried to start it. I replaced it with another Interstate flooded cell battery from Costco, and did a reset using Forscan.

No good reason for the flooded cell, other than it had a later manufactured date code than the AGM.

Did you update the battery value in FORScan to reflect you’re now running a flooded cell battery vs an AGM?

The OEM battery was flooded cell, and the 1st Interstate was flooded cell.

Back in 2015 the only A-S-S trucks were equipped with the 2.7L. I think only A-S-S, Platinum and Limited got AGMs from the factory.

He has a Platinum, that's why I assumed AGM.

This all sounds like a pain in the A-S-S. Its possible you just had a bad battery. I would double check to make sure you have all the right settings in forscan for the new battery.
