Default 21B10 consensus?

It just popped up on my FordPass. I think that I
read somewhere on here that people were having shifting issues after they had it done?

Very early on I had a cold start rattle for a few seconds and only a few times, and haven’t noticed it since. Any net benefit to me getting 21B10 performed?
2018 3.5l eco boost build date Jan 2018, I think.

What popped up on your app?

I thought they stopped doing the 21B10 PCM update shortly after releasing it back in March-ish since it was causing more issues that it fixed?

If it's the same update from back in March I would not subject your truck to it. Since the update, I've had cam phasers replaced and am having ongoing issues with the transmission. Bad shifts, holds gears, shudder at certain speeds and gear combos, downshifts are delayed, etc. I can tell you that this isn't just a "10 speed" issue as I had a 2017 from brand new with the 10 speed and never had these issues that my 2018 has.

Apparently there is a new update. I received a notice on my Ford App as well. This Ford Tech advises the new update was released on 07/15 and explains it well:

To be fair, all Ford techs recommended doing the original 21B10, which turned out to be a disaster for a small percentage of us. Personally, I am going to let a few get it done to see how things go. Maybe in Aug. I will start to think about it. Fool me once...
