The web site shows a new update, but my map download failed repeatedly so they may have a problem with the files. Gonna wait a day or two and try again. The instructions and license downloaded with no problem.

 

Try different browsers. Try different ISP, use your home internet, use your phone's hotspot....

 

Mine downloaded fine.

 

I tried two different computers on two different systems today... the map download would get to about 90% complete and then time out or fail. I've never had an issue with the site before. I'll probably give them a call tomorrow, maybe they will just mail me a flash drive. I'm not at the point of paying for one yet.

 

Revisited the site and downloaded over this past weekend. Copied files to a USB drive and updated during a road trip. I think it took me about 20 minutes to download the files, then took the vehicle over 2 hours to update. Now on version 2 24. No issues at all with the update.

Reminder - once you insert the flash drive and give Sync the OK to update, the engine has to be on and the flash drive left inserted until the pop-up window appears telling you to remove the flash drive. If you interrupt the process, it will have to start over from the beginning. Ignore any other messages on the screen. Sync will reset at least once during the process.
