2019 Lariat Navigation APIM Replace
I bought an aftermarket APIM to add Navigation. Everything works as advertised most of the time. Serius locks up, no sound, Navigation doesn't work or is lost, auto seat/steering position when starting doesn't set correctly. It does some of these things, not all at once though. They are all intermittent. Will a software update, a firmware update or a new apim be needed?
What did the seller say when you asked them about the issues?
If you bought one of those APIMs from eBay stores out of China, you probably got old hardware with a fake sticker showing a recent production date. If that’s the case, purchase a new one from a reputable seller.
If you bought it from a reputable seller, they should be able to assist you through the issues or replace the unit.
Also, aftermarket means non-OE hardware. You got an OEM replacement.
