I'm doing the same. Why wouldn't you?

When I do coolant flushes I remove a heater hose and connect it to a shop vac and put a funnel in the other hose and after the cores empty pour the water in and let the vac clear the core

If the yellow coolant is better why is Ford still using the orange coolant in the majority of their vehicles in 2019. From the PDF file it seems that only the trucks, vans and full size SUVs are getting the yellow coolant, the remainder of the Ford lineup will stay with the orange coolant. Even the new Ranger will have the orange coolant. It can't be because the yellow performs better since the GT and the Mustang will stay with the orange coolant and so do the Taurus and Explorer which are also used as police interceptors. The orange coolant must have advantages the yellow doesn't since they are staying with it in the majority of their vehicles. If that wasn't the case they would go to the yellow in everything and drop the orange.

The only reason I think Ford is switching to the yellow is because of corrosion the use of a block heater in which case they go back to the older yellow coolant. I don't use or ever plan on using a block heater so I'm sticking with the orange coolant.

They do need to pick one good one and stick with it. I have had Hondas since the late 90's and from then to right now they have taken Honda's blue coolant. 20 years and Honda is still using the same coolant.

So we are going back to Motorcraft Gold. This is not a bad thing. I guess my flush will come sooner rather than later.

From the wording on this SVE, the two coolants are compatible so there will not be an issue with the drain and flush.

Low miles is not unusual. I just picked up a `15 KR with 5600 miles on the clock.

So I guess there's no reason for me to have a 2008 GT500 Shelby with 900 miles either.
