Very Cool Truck
Over decades of riding, I resisted Harley. Like some of you, I didn't like the "I'm better than you" attitude, the cost, the cliques, the old men swaggering around in leather chaps, etc. I owned nice Yamahas, nice Hondas.
Then I got a job selling Harleys and I finally admitted something to myself - I really REALLY like Harley Davidsons. I like the history. The looks and sound. The endless modifications. The gear. I never felt I was a rebel or trying to be unique or an American badass. I didn't see myself as a minor league One Percenter or Captain America - I just became a Harley fan.
Yes, they're overpriced. Yes, most foreign bikes will run circles around me. But I didn't buy it to be a circuit rider or do 150 on an open stretch or take curves nearly laying down. I found one I liked and bought it because ... I liked it. And I believe that if I'm at a light with my tricked-out Fatboy and a nice Gold Wing or Beemer pulls up beside me - a tiny part of them will feel inferior.
Nothing matches the allure of a Harley Davidson. I understand the put-downs, the jokes, the outright hatred of the company. But IMO, nothing else comes close.
I also have an HD F-150. All my life I've had decent wheels but I have never had strangers walk by and say "nice truck". Just the other day I was introduced to a new receptionist as the "guy with that badass F-150." It's not the fastest or strongest thing on four wheels - but it's pretty cool.
Yeah, I'm a sucker for HD and gladly admit it. IMO, this truck is beautiful. I wish Ford and HD were still BFF.

How's she goin' eh?
I know I’m 11 pages late but I’m loving those rims on the truck on page 1. It’s a tastefully done Harley package. The last one I liked was the grey and burgundy on the 99-03 crews.
When i I worked at Ford for the summer for fire/rescue the fire trainers had a first gen Harley crew painted bright red. Of course they had 25-30 years in and could order what they wanted. It looked good in red with the chrome wheels of that era.

If its not a sanctioned build by Ford, why?
Why not a Peterbuilt edition or a Cessna edition?
I guess if you owned a Harley fine but I'm not into paying good money just to promote a brand name.
