Default 2019 build quality problems

Hey,

So I picked up my 3rd XLT 3.5 eco boost SCREW.....I'm a big fan of these trucks....However, this truck is irritating me already.....I was noticing since day one, my driver side door doesn't seem to want to close easily, it always takes several attempts.....so yesterday when wiping it down, I started noticing the lines on this truck, first my hood is sunk in way past the trim lines of the two front quarter panels, my left side lower trim line (the little indent 1/4 the way up from the bottom) that doesn't line up from the front panel to the front door to the back door to the box....Its actually blowing my mind how off this is..... Also the bottom part of the driver door is not really flush so looking from the outside the door doesn't look closed......and the rear passenger door is sunk in past the back of the cab line.....the other problem I have is in the cab the dash on the passenger side has a big sort of lump in the middle up by the front window defrost......do I just live with this or do I have any options?

Thanks

Rampking

I know when I buy a new vehicle if I have problems with it I always go online and post about it......

Seriously, take it in to the dealership and show them.

Door alignment has been an issue on these trucks since 2015, you can take it back to dealer and they should be able to realign the doors for you. The dash warp is also another common problem. There is no fix for the dash warp that I know of.

Yeah I am going there on Monday, I’m just expecting them to say it is what it is, I mean most people probably wouldn’t notice it....but I certainly do, I’ve had it next to a friends truck as well and it’s a big difference . Anyone else having these issues or is it a one off?

Exclamation

you didn't notice these things BEFORE you purchased the truck? I guess I must be OCD because I spend at least 30 minutes checking out these kind of aspects.

The underlined part is a known issue.

I bought my 2018 XL STX last May and I went through something similar. I am not accustomed to seeing imperfections on a dealer lot so I didn’t really go over it with a fine-tooth comb. It was not a pleasant feeling when I started discovering all of the defects. My chief complaint has alwasy been a shudder at moderate acceleration on the highway- mostly while climbing hills at 75mph. The feeling has stuck and I will not forget when it’s time to buy a new truck.

The dealer and I were not successful getting Ford to make it right.

There is a TSB on the dash is there not?
Also, I read somewhere that the Kansas trucks showed more panel alignment issues than other build location?

My truck has the same door alignment issues as described above. I brought it in, they said they fixed it but there was no change on the truck.
I'll adjust it myself this summer...and no you're not alone with these issues.
Fortunately I have a Lariat and the dash warping is confined to the XL - XLTs (or so it seems)

It seems the drivers side door not shutting correctly is a common problem for the '19s built in KC.

Jeez a few sarcastic ****s on here lol ,yeah I actually did look over the truck, but it was going on 5pm and the sun was down, it’s also brand spanking new, I basically walked around making sure there were no scratches/dents. Never thought to check to make sure they actually put the doors on correctly....I’m surprised this is a common issue, my last two trucks were perfect, trouble free.

Oh well, can’t wait to hear what the dealership is gonna say, the place where I bought it is over 2 hours away, so my local guy is gonna bring that up right away.....not my fault it was $50 cheaper a month for same truck.

Thanks all
