2018 xlt standard to tow mirror

I have read so many different threads on here and ive become more overwhelemed and confused with every post lol.
i am looking for part numbers to change from standard mirrors to tow.

i have the 302A but have the 8 pin.

i need harness and module.and mirrors without blis or 360 camera.
i only have manual fold, power adjust, heat, and turn signal at the moment.

would like to have power adjust, puddle, spot, possibly power fold, and telescoping.

if anybody has the part numbers it would be greatly appreciated. Fairly certain i have the ambient sensor in the mirror

  • JL3Z-17696-BA is the kit you need to maintain what you have. It includes the two mirrors and adapter harnesses. I suppose it is possible to add all of that, but this kit maintains what you have and has capability to add flood and puddle lighting. Adding power fold and telescoping is a whole nuther level I was unable to tackle for technical and financial reasons.

Awesome thank you. Did you have to change door switch or door harnesses?

Make sure you check your build date, some '18 have the ambient air temperature sensor in the passenger side mirror and some don't.

I never could find out if adding these would enable the running lights on the tow mirrors (amber) when your headlights are on.

SSM 47721 - 2018 F-150 Excluding Raptor - Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) Sensor Located in Exterior Mirror - Built On Or After 26-Feb-2018

2018 F150 vehicles excluding Raptor built at Dearborn Truck Plant on or after 26-Feb-2018 and at Kansas City Assembly Plant on or after 10-Mar-2018 have the AAT sensor located in the right exterior mirror. The AAT sensor is serviced separately from the mirror assembly. If the vehicle is built on or after the dates listed above, do not add the sensor and harness behind the grill. If the sensor is missing from the right mirror the incorrect exterior mirror may have been installed after the vehicle was released from the assembly plant. Refer to Ambient AirTemperature Sensor GSB G0000178 for additional information. The Workshop Manual(WSM) and Wiring Diagram have been updated for non-Raptor vehicles for the early and late build AAT sensor locations. The sensor location on Raptor vehicles has not changed.

No. My power glass, heated glass and turn signals all worked with nothing more than the included 8-pin to 22-pin converter harness.

As pointed out by tmcolegr, "built at Dearborn Truck Plant on or after 26-Feb-2018 and at Kansas City Assembly Plant on or after 10-Mar-2018" have it in the mirror. Your truck's plant and build date should be on the sticker in your driver's door jamb.

So, isn't confirming the location of the ambient sensor as easy as looking under the right side mirror? If your sensor isn't in the mirror, why would adding a mirror with the sensor change anything?
