Question 2018 Steering Issue

So I totaled my '16 XLT a few weeks ago... first wreck I've had in over 40 yrs. Now I'm considering a '18 XLT 3.5. It's "like new" but does have 93k miles. My mechanic checked it out and found
nothing major other than to warn me about potential turbo leaks and suggested I get a V8 instead. But my reason for this post is the steering. When driving the '18 on a curvy road, turning to the left on sharper curves, the steering seems to "hang" or "stick" as if it didn't want to return to center. It acts as if it wants to over-steer to the left...kind of hard to explain. I didn't experienced it on right hand turns. I verified air pressure was same on each side and the tires have good tread. The dealer's mechanic called said it's the "return rate" and what I'm feeling is because the truck has 20" wheels vs the stock 18". I asked why it's not happening on right hand turns? And my '16 had 20" wheels and never experienced this.

Anyone ever experienced this or know what cause could be? Maybe worn tie rod or something?

The truck has electronic controlled steering rack and control module.
The system should not stick in any position.
The steering has two sensors involved.
Angle and Torque.
These signal the control module how far the rack is to move, how fast to signal the electric motor to move the rack and when to stop.
I would first suspect the rack has a problem of sticking unless proven different.
Good luck.

Thanks @bluegrass! They mentioned later that they suspected the steering module but had yet to dig deeper.

Research 2018 5.0 V8 oil consumption problems then find a new mechanic.
