Question how did you remove the letters to paint. It doesn't look like they pop out from your pictures.

There are small tabs around the perimeter of each letter as well as screws that hold the letters in place from the rear. This is the only picture I have without the letters, you can kind of see the openings for the tabs and screw holes.

Looks great, I just bought the same tailgate appliqué on eBay. *How did you attach it to the body? *Mine didn’t come with any double sided tape or foam, thanks.

It turned out okay where I fixed it, I'm by no means a professional with body work or painting. I had to fill in some holes where an F-150 emblem came on the panel (I thought the emblem and the embossed tailgate would be F-150 overkill) so I knew it was going to require some work on my end to begin with.

That’s a sharp looking ride! I think it looks fantastic with the black roof!

Did you have to remove the Ford emblem off the tailgate before install? The Applique looks high enough to fit right over it.

I used 3M Double Sided Automotive Tape. A LOT of it!* Some areas I had to double and triple up the tape so it would adhere to the tailgate.* It was a major pain to be honest, I'd imagine one could come up with a better way or maybe a flat panel that attached to the applique that sits against the tailgate better than the applique itself.* I think I went through 2-3 15' rolls.

Definitely get a hand if you can in applying it to the tailgate.* If I did it again I would remove the tailgate and probably use a bead of*Polyurethane Glue/Adhesive around the perimeter instead of all of the tape.

Thanks! I’ll see if I can figure something out. How is it holding up so far?

Mine has been on for 4 months and haven't had one problem with it. It fit right over the Ford and XLT emblems, no problems.
