They called me in for the 30 day service, but the service advisor claimed it was the adaptive learning and refused to look at it until the vehicle hit 5000 miles. At this point, I have 1841 miles on the truck and it has now spread to all of the other gears. The transmission problems have become worse. I dropped off the truck to them on Saturday and told them to keep it until they fix the problem. I am not up to speed on Ford's adaptive learning, but correct me and some of the YouTubers wrong if this is not (PWM) pulse width modulation / what Ford calls adaptive learning. I am an electrical engineer (power concentration), and I do not understand why Ford would create a bandwidth that allows what some call the clunks, jerks and studders. If anyone here has better information please help me and get me up to speed.
Mine has the exact same transmission issues that you describe. One specific problem is that in 3rd gear it stutters like it has shifted, picks up RPM's and then finally jumps to 5th. From what I have read on the lemon laws, it takes three different visits for the same problem, so it would be advisable to accept it back and put it back in the shop for transmission issues 3 times and then send a letter to Ford addressing the problem. After that has occurred they have one more chance to fix the problem before offering a buy-back or exchange. Keep us up to date on the issue. Thanks for your post.

Used the wifes hair drier to unfreeze the latch so I could close the door. Oh... and this was AFTER the frozen door latch recall was performed. Only had my rear passenger door not latch, all other doors would latch but when I pulled the door handle it felt like I was breaking ice and all 4 doors sounds like they had ice inside of them...

This is what I'm going through. My truck was in 3x for the shifting/stutter and the hesitation from 3 to 5. I filed lemon law and the final repair attempt has been done, but the issue is still there. I have now contacted the BBB, and am in the process of getting them all of my paperwork. I hope to be out of this truck by mid March.

Today, it was 34* at my house just north of Orlando. I drove through my neighborhood about 2 miles to the exit. The road I was entering is a 50 mph 2-lane road. Cars were travelling both directions. I saw an opening, and accelerated, just to have the truck roll me into the street and wouldn't shift or drive any further. The delay was so bad I thought I was going to get t-boned on both sides when the trans finally kicked in and I was able to finish my turn. The BBB asked me what I wanted from Ford and I told them that I have no confidence in the safety or longevity of this vehicle. After the near miss today, I will be highlighting this issue as severely unsafe and will not accept any offer from Ford, other than a buy out.

Mine did this only one time. After it happened I just forgot about it. Now after reading this post I'm concerned that its going to happen again and when its going to happen again. I bought my truck in July and it now has 4900 miles. With another truck I had the BBB told me that lemon law doesn't apply after 11k miles. I'm due for inspection in January. I'm thinking that when I take it in I am going to tell them about the incident so its at least documented.

Might not be the jack. Make sure the back of the 40-split chair is latched all the way. Had the same issue.

The jack has a velcro strap, so it can be tightened. It shouldn't make any noise. Also check if you have something under the seat; could be that too.

Default Lemon Stuff...

I am getting a check from Ford on my truck that includes every payment I have made too. It's the norm if you choose "buy out" vs "replacement" In my state it is either/or. 3 times for same issue or over 30 days for any given issue under warranty.
When I called Ford customer service they did nothing to help me until I mentioned that I was concerned about the lemon law. Then everything changed and they assigned me a representative they called me back within 5 days and they were easy to work with from that moment forward.
I recommend trying to go through Ford. They would rather not go through a legal battle and end up having one of their new vehicles branded from the title perspective as a lemon. If Ford can get back your new truck and give you a check or find you a replacement truck, then they can deal with it outside of the normal state legal process. This allows Ford to take your new truck that had some issues..., fix them, and put that truck back into an auto auction or relocate it with a perfect clean title. No lemon branded title. No instant loss of value on one of their new trucks that have been the number one seller for over 41 years and counting! Thats why they do it. That's why they have a legit program for it.
I had misfires at 5K...ish. Transmission completely went out at 10k...ish. It was in the dealership for over 30 days...
I only share my experience...I learned a lot about lemon laws and the program Ford offers.
I know all these issues are not the norm. I drove my 2016 F-150 like a truck for over 60,000 miles never a problem.
I am going to custom order a 2019.
If you have already contacted Ford and got a negative decision on your truck situation... I would do the same...I would go get what is fair at the least. These trucks are small fortunes. The money demands a quality product!

Exactly what ^^^^^^he ^^^^^ said. I opened a case through my AG. Had a scheduled arbitration date. Received a call from ford asking to settle and they’ll buy it back/repurchase from me. I lost all hope with ford and their customer service otherwise I’d be going with a ford again. Was dealing with corporate for four months trying to have them buy it back and they wouldn’t. Opened a case with my AG and suddenly I get a call. I just hope the repurchase goes quick and smooth. Best of luck to ya

Cooled seats suck but getting them checked against the tsb.
You can set this to Auto or to Last Used.
