Sure enough all I had to do was select oil life reset. I had come this far before but not pressed it because I only wanted to see the life left - not reset. But it indeed shows the remaining life and you have to press OK from there to actually reset. THANKS!

Thanks for that!

I knew I saw it before but couldn't find it again. The location the manual mentions is wrong. I'm at 83% for about 2000 miles, not bad.

So apparently the old version of having it on the same screen with engine hours and resetting on the same screen was too easy.

This^

Yet another 'Read the Manual' **** strikes again replying to an OPers question!
I really tried reading that encyclopedia of a manual but there was way too much info regarding other trims and options i don't have...that i gave up and put it back int the glove compartment where i haven't touched it since..
Besides this would be a much more lonelier forum if everyone Ford owner memorized that voluminous manual.

That and the RTFM **** has poor grammar. It's one thing to have smartassery with zero help on the issue, and another to have it and then use poor grammar.

ALLOT
verb (used with object), allotted, allotting.
1.
to divide or distribute by share or portion; distribute or parcel out; apportion:
to allot the available farmland among the settlers.
2.
to appropriate for a special purpose:
to allot money for a park.
3.
to assign as a portion; set apart; dedicate.
I see this a lot of times, and irks me.

I plan to order an 18 soon and use the OLM a lot myself, so good information here.

Pretty Intelligent.

I love how you need a reminder to tell you when to change your oil.

If you tow or haul a lot, it will be much more helpful than guessing. It takes that all into account based on engine usage. Also if your daily drive is like mine, you put so many miles on quickly that it is easy to go past the change interval and checking that monitor can give you an idea on if you can go another week, or get it changed before the weekend is out. It's just a nice tool to have.
