Ford tried the Tremor in 2014 to compete against the RCSB 5.0. While it had a nicer interior, it was not quicker than the 5.0 RCSB with 3.55's, even though the Tremor had 4.10's. No one bought them. Only 606 built and many sat on the lots over a year. No one wants a V6 sport truck. The 2018 5.0 RCSB is the quickest F150 ever built by Ford, with any engine. They will remain the performance truck enthusiasts choice for the street/track. 5.0 owners will never be silent......

Yup. The Motor Trend awards are a joke, it is almost always a brand new design or a 'redesign'; it has been like that for decades on both the cars and trucks. I remember the 1991 'car of the year' which was the boat like Caprice Classic because hey....it had just been redesigned that year. It didn't win any other awards.

No one else has a 'redesigned' truck this year.

That doesn't mean the Ford isn't the best one....I personally liked it the best when I test drove most all of them in 2017, so I bought one!

Of course they do, why wouldn't they? It doesn't mean the award is based on merit. Most people don't do the homework, they just see....wowz....it won the truck of year award!

I have read numerous auto magazines for decades. Motor Trend flat out sucks.

Are we really going to go this idiotic V8 vs Ecoboost route again?
