Any ideas about this plug? Does this plug into something existing in my XL 2.7 EB?

 

if you are looking to go to center console shifter that should be the plug for the lights/buttons from the shifter. your current dash harness won't have the plug that goes to as its not set up for the console shifter since it has the column shifter. I know there was someone that was talking about making a harness that would plug into that plug them send the wires to their current column shift plug spots.

 

So it's okay not to plug it in?
